Lazio Women fined by TAS over Gothberg pregnancy discrimination

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) ruled that Italy's Lazio Women football club discriminated against Swedish defender Maja Gothberg by withdrawing from contract renewal talks after she announced her pregnancy. The tribunal found that the club’s decision was directly linked to the player’s pregnancy and that private medical information had been disclosed to team members, breaching her privacy.
