Lazio Women player Goldoni renews contract amid management criticism

Lazio Women midfielder Eleonora Goldoni has announced a contract renewal with the club through 2029, including an option for an additional season. Goldoni expressed her happiness with the decision, citing the club as a second home and highlighting the high quality and adaptability of the current squad.

In a separate commentary regarding the state of the sport, former player and pundit Carolina Morace criticized Lazio management, specifically Claudio Lotito, suggesting his focus remains on personal interests rather than the supporters. Morace also addressed the systemic challenges facing women's football in Italy, noting its heavy reliance on political funding and suggesting that the sport needs a self-development project similar to models seen in England, France, and Spain.
