Lazio nears deal for defender Sergi Dominguez from Dinamo Zagreb

Lazio is in advanced negotiations with Dinamo Zagreb for 21‑year‑old Spanish centre‑back Sergi Dominguez. The defender joined Dinamo last summer from Barcelona for €1.2 million, with Barcelona retaining a 20 % sell‑on clause and rights to future training compensation. Dinamo has set an asking price of €15 million including bonuses, while Lazio has offered roughly €9‑10 million plus performance bonuses. Sports director Angelo Fabiani has travelled to Croatia, meeting Dinamo officials in Zagreb and Split to push the talks forward. The clubs are still working out the final formula and financial guarantees. Lazio seeks to replace Mario Gila, sold to Milan for €30 million, and to fill the defensive gap left by Alessio Romagnoli’s departure, making the acquisition of Dominguez a priority for the Italian side.
