LB Börekçilik denies involvement in trustee appointment

LB Börekçilik Gıda Sanayi A. Ş., the registered owner of the ‘Levent Börek’ brand, has issued a formal statement clarifying that it is not involved in recent legal proceedings or trustee appointments.

The clarification follows an investigation by the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the Furkan Foundation, which resulted in the appointment of trustees to five companies. While some media reports suggested the ‘Levent Börek’ brand was affected, the company clarified that the trustee decision actually applies to MLT Börekçilik Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti., an Adana-based entity.

LB Börekçilik stated that it is a separate and independent legal entity from MLT Börekçilik, with no shared partnership or management structure. The company expressed concern that inaccurate reporting has damaged its commercial reputation and has requested formal corrections and retractions from the news outlets involved.
