LB Forsikring survey reveals parental uncertainty over children's insurance
A new member survey from LB Forsikring reveals that 46 percent of parents with adult children who have moved out within the last five years are uncertain about the necessary insurance coverage for their children.
The survey highlights specific areas of confusion: 36 percent of parents are unsure if their own liability and contents insurance covers their adult children, 20 percent are uncertain about accident insurance, and 18 percent are unsure regarding travel insurance.
Maiken Sjöberg Russ, head of Car and Home at LB Forsikring, noted that while many parents provide advice, young people often forget to secure necessary policies when moving. She emphasized that accident insurance is personal and must be held individually by the child, regardless of whether they live at home or have moved out.
