Lübeck opens new modular school on Kanalstraße

A new modular school located on Kanalstraße in Lübeck has opened following a six-month construction period. The facility is designed to serve approximately 420 students from the Katharineum and Ernestinenschule.

The school serves as an interim solution to provide modern learning spaces until the planned educational center in the former Karstadt building is completed. The Green Party faction (Grüne Fraktion) welcomed the opening, noting that the project was a priority to address the immediate need for school capacity and was implemented by repurposing a former parking lot.
