L&C Bio VP Lee Ju-hee elected head of new ECM bio industry association

Lee Ju-hee, Vice President of L&C Bio, has been elected as the inaugural president of the Korea Human Tissue Extracellular Matrix (ECM) Bio Industry Association. The association was established to promote the healthy development of the domestic ECM industry, enhance social trust, and establish scientific and institutional foundations for the industry's sustainable growth.

The association's policy vision focuses on five key areas: strengthening safety management systems, creating a rational regulatory environment, enhancing industry reliability through global standardization, fostering a responsible industry ecosystem that respects donors, and strengthening South Korea's global competitiveness in the ECM market.

Separately, L&C Bio marked its 15th anniversary by announcing plans to expand its business scope from regenerative medicine into medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and aesthetics. The company aims to leverage its ECM technology as a global platform, expanding its application from skin to bone, cartilage, nerves, and tendons. L&C Bio reported significant growth in the first half of 2026, with revenue reaching 69.1 billion KRW, an 80.4% increase year-on-year, and achieving a turnaround to an operating profit of 14.6 billion KRW.
