L’École du Jeune Spectateur launches 2026-2027 season

L’École du Jeune Spectateur has launched its 2026-2027 season, focusing on theatrical programming designed to engage young audiences. Following a previous season that hosted over 20,000 children across more than 100 performances, the new season features monthly sessions for schools, associations, and orphanages during the week, and for families on weekends.

The curriculum includes various theatrical styles such as burlesque, musical, contemporary, and storytelling. The program emphasizes a pedagogical approach where children learn theater etiquette and their rights and duties as young citizens. Each session includes a ‘bord de scène’ (stage-side) interaction, allowing children to discuss their feelings and ask artists questions.

This season also highlights language, heritage, and transmission, including adaptations in Darija and musical concerts like ‘Mirath Atfal’ to explore Moroccan musical heritage. Supported by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the association aims to expand its reach beyond Casablanca and Rabat, building on previous performances in Kenitra, Marrakech, Nador, and El Jadida.
