Lédéa Bernard Ouédraogo University pedagogical complex reaches 84% completion

The construction of a new pedagogical complex at Lédéa Bernard Ouédraogo University (ULBO) in Ouahigouya has reached an 84% physical execution rate. The project is part of the Presidential Initiative for Quality Education for All (IPEQ) led by Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

During a site visit on August 17, 2026, the Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, Professor Adjima Thiombiano, inspected the progress of the facilities, which include a 500-seat amphitheater and a two-story pedagogical block. While expressing satisfaction with the quality of work, the Minister urged the construction company to accelerate progress to ensure the site is ready for equipment installation.

The goal is to have the complex available by October 1, 2026, to support the 2026-2027 academic year and increase the university's capacity. The construction company has committed to completing the building phase by August 31, 2026.
