Lüdenscheid police impound car transporter with 39 defects
Police in Lüdenscheid, Germany, have impounded an overloaded car transporter after discovering 39 different defects. Authorities classified 14 of these issues as life-threatening.
An inspection revealed severe mechanical failures, including tires worn down to the internal metal mesh and brakes operating at less than 50 percent of the required minimum strength. The vehicle's trailer hitch was also found to be in such poor condition that it posed an immediate risk of detachment. Additionally, the transporter was so low to the ground that it nearly scraped the road.
The driver, who was reportedly en route to Poland, was escorted to a testing center. Both the driver and the vehicle owner face legal charges following the incident.
