Le Champlain makes first port call in Wismar

The luxury expedition yacht Le Champlain, operated by PONANT, made its first port call in the Hanseatic city of Wismar on Friday, August 28, 2026. The vessel arrived at the Wismar harbor at 8:00 AM as part of a ten-day cruise traveling from Copenhagen, Denmark, to Tilbury, United Kingdom.

To mark the occasion, a traditional ceremony involving the exchange of plaques between the ship's leadership and port representatives was held. Wismar, a smaller German cruise port, is scheduled to host eight cruise calls this year, including two first-time visits. Following its stay, the Le Champlain is set to continue its journey through the Kiel Canal toward Haarlingen, the Netherlands, with subsequent stops in Belgium and France before concluding the voyage in Tilbury.
