Le Corbusier's architectural legacy honored by Rado and UNESCO

The Swiss-born design visionary Le Corbusier is being celebrated through both architectural legacy and new luxury products. Rado has released a collection of three special-edition timepieces inspired by his work. This collaboration with Les Couleurs Suisse® includes a watch referencing La Cité Radieuse, a concrete apartment building in Marseille, France. The timepiece features a high-tech ceramic dial with laser-engraved textures mimicking 'béton-brut' (rough-cast concrete) and utilizes the architect's Polychromie Architectural color palette.

Le Corbusier, born Charles-Édouard Jeanneret, was a central figure in modern architecture and urban planning. His career included the design of 79 buildings, 65 of which remain standing. His influence is recognized globally, with 17 of his works across seven countries inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Notable projects include the urban design of Chandigarh, India, and various iconic structures spanning from Switzerland to Japan.
