Le Giuste Parole Festival to address gender violence in Foggia and Vieste

The third edition of the ‘Le Giuste Parole’ (The Right Words) Festival is scheduled for September 17 and 18, 2026, in Foggia and Vieste. The event focuses on the impact of gendered language and its role in shaping social representations, relationships, and educational processes.

Promoted by the Il Filo di Arianna social cooperative and the Learning Sciences Institute of the University of Foggia, the festival is part of the ‘Zona Franca’ project supported by Fondazione CON IL SUD. The initiative aims to foster an alliance between universities, institutions, and the local community to create a territory free from violence.

The festival is accredited by the National Council of the Order of Journalists and is patronized by the Order of Journalists of Puglia. It seeks to promote a culture of conscious, inclusive, and respectful language that avoids gender stereotypes and prejudices, particularly when reporting on violence, harassment, discrimination, and femicide.
