Le Mans hosts FIA Karting World Championships

The FIA Karting championships concluded at the Le Mans Karting International Circuit, featuring competitions in the KZ World Championship, the KZ2 World Cup, and the KZ2 Masters International Super Cup.

In the premier KZ category, Viktor Gustafsson secured his second world title, following his 2022 championship. Gustafsson, racing for the CRG Racing Team, dominated the event after securing pole position in qualifying.

In the KZ2 category, Markus Kajak achieved a victory alongside Arthur Lehouck for the Formula K SRP Factory Team. Meanwhile, Anthony Abbasse claimed a home victory in the KZ2 Masters category, which features drivers aged 35 and older. The event also saw the return of former Formula 1 driver Rubens Barrichello to world championship competition after a ten-year absence.
