Le Mans Judicial Court hosts crime scene reenactment

The Le Mans Judicial Court hosted an interactive crime scene reenactment as part of the European Heritage Days on September 19, 2026. Approximately 150 visitors participated in the workshop, which featured a simulated crime scene complete with forensic evidence such as a revolver and artificial blood.

Led by investigating judge Sébastien Colombet and representatives from the technical and scientific police, the event aimed to educate the public on the realities of criminal investigations. Professionals emphasized the importance of rigorous, time-consuming procedures over the rapid resolutions often depicted in television series. The initiative also serves as a recruitment tool, helping to demystify judicial and police careers for students and young citizens.
