Le Méridien Maldives launches new stargazing programme

Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa, located on Thilamaafushi Island in the Lhaviyani Atoll, has launched a new stargazing programme. Developed in partnership with astronomy specialist Space Cat, the initiative utilizes the resort's location at 5° north of the equator to provide views of constellations from both hemispheres.

The programme features a resident astronomer and includes various activities such as daytime solar observation sessions using specialized telescopes to study sunspots and solar dynamics. Evening offerings include guided beach stargazing with celestial storytelling, as well as themed dining experiences like ‘Celestial Dining’ and ‘Moonlight Table’ designed to connect guests with the night sky.
