Le Pappardelle champion trio concludes run on Reazione a Catena

The popular Italian game show Reazione a Catena, hosted by Pino Insegno on Rai1, has seen significant developments involving the long-running champion trio, Le Pappardelle. Comprised of Carolina, Francesca, and Maria Giulia, the Tuscan team has approached nearly 50 episodes, accumulating a prize pool exceeding 250,000 euros.

During recent broadcasts in mid-September 2026, the champions faced various challenges. In one episode, they secured a 15,000 euro ZIP prize but faced social media scrutiny following a gaffe regarding presenter Francesca Fagnani. In another match against the trio Le Romantiche, Le Pappardelle managed to consolidate a lead of 91,000 euros despite some errors in the game's chain sequences.

However, the champions' streak eventually came to an end during a Sunday episode on September 20. They were defeated by a new trio known as Le Nonno Rock, consisting of twins Lidia and Arianna and their cousin Martina. The new champions secured a total prize of 37,000 euros, surpassing Le Pappardelle's 14,000 euros.
