Le Vie di Mònde film festival opens in Manfredonia

The Le Vie di Mònde festival, part of the ninth edition of Mònde – Festa del Cinema sui Cammini, held its first day in Manfredonia. The event integrated cinema with archaeology, training, and local heritage.

Key activities included screenings for students and a debate following the film ‘Migliori amiche – Il caso Nadia Roccia’ by Luciano Toriello. The festival also featured presentations of works from a Digital Humanities and audiovisual higher education course at the Manfredonia Castle. Additionally, the Marina Mazzei Prize for archaeology was awarded to Lorenzo Lo Muzio for ‘Atto d’amore’ and Kadir Uluç for ‘Tumuli di Ankara’.

The festival is scheduled to continue in locations including Monte Sant’Angelo, the Hermitage of Pulsano, and the Foresta Umbra, aiming to strengthen the connection between cinema, cultural heritage, and the Gargano landscape.
