Lea Salonga to receive Hollywood Walk of Fame star

Lea Salonga is set to receive her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 4. She will be the first Filipina to receive this honor, earning the 2,855th star in the Live Performance category.

The ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. PT on Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Pantages Theatre. Guest speaker Ming-Na Wen, who provided the singing voice for Disney’s Mulan alongside Salonga, will participate in the event, which will be emceed by Sibley Scoles.

Salonga is a Tony Award-winning actress and singer, widely recognized for her roles in ‘Miss Saigon’ and ‘Les Misérables’. Following the Hollywood ceremony, she is scheduled to receive the Icon Award at the closing gala of the third Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) on September 6.
