Leadership changes and protests reported in Croatia and Serbia

In Croatia, the supervisory board of the utility company Čakom has accepted the resignation of director Lidija Miše Jalšovec. Miše Jalšovec will remain in her position until November 30, with a final decision expected from the company's Assembly on October 12. She cited personal and professional reasons for her departure, noting health concerns resulting from legal, financial, and professional pressures associated with managing the municipal utility company. The company intends to hold a public competition for a new director rather than appointing an interim official.

In Serbia, the teaching staff at the Čačak Gymnasium has announced that the newly appointed director, Katarina Majstorović, has gone on sick leave only 11 days after her appointment. This has created organizational difficulties within the school. The staff is continuing protests against her appointment, questioning the legality of the appointment process and whether the new director meets the required years of professional experience. While classes continue as scheduled, the staff noted that daily duties such as substitutions and safety shifts are becoming increasingly difficult to manage.
