Leadership changes at HUN-REN Rényi Institute and National Innovation Agency
The HUN-REN Rényi Alfréd Mathematical Research Institute has announced a leadership transition. Dezső Miklós, formerly the deputy director, has been appointed to perform the duties of director following the election of András Stipsicz as president of the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network. Miklós will serve in this interim capacity to ensure continuous operation and maintain research conditions until a permanent director is selected through an open application process. Károly Böröczky, director of the Erdős Center, will assist as a deputy director.
Separately, the National Innovation Agency (NIÜ) has appointed Imre Hild as interim CEO. This follows the departure of László Bódis from the position on October 19. Hild, who has extensive experience in the international startup ecosystem and previously held roles at McKinsey and Lehman Brothers, is tasked with ensuring stable and transparent operations and coordinating science and innovation programs. The Ministry of Science and Technology will oversee the agency's professional management until a permanent leader is appointed via a call for applications.
