Leading Hotels of the World expands portfolio to over 450 properties

Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) has expanded its global portfolio to more than 450 independent properties with the addition of ten new member hotels in August 2026.

The new additions span various regions and styles, including Barbados, China, Denmark, France, Indonesia, Italy, Portugal, and the United States. Notable new members include the Relais d’Amboise in France, scheduled to reopen in late September, and La Réserve Paris Apartments near the Trocadéro. Other additions include The Sanchaya in Indonesia, Legend of AVARA in China, and The Ranch at Rock Creek in Montana.

As a commercial alliance rather than a traditional chain, LHW allows member hotels to maintain their individual ownership, management, and identity while providing shared benefits such as centralized distribution, reservations, and a unified loyalty program called Leaders Club. Dean Bannon, LHW vice president of member success and development, stated that the new members represent ‘a different expression of independent luxury hospitality,’ ranging from historic European estates to private island retreats.
