Leadville Trail 100 MTB uses modified route following Colorado wildfires

The 32nd edition of the Leadville Trail 100 MTB features a modified route due to the impact of wildfires in Lake County, Colorado. Organizers Life Time confirmed a 102-mile course, which is slightly shorter than in previous years. While the iconic climb to the Columbine Mine remains a central feature, certain sections, such as the Powerline climb, have been removed from the course.

The race continues to draw significant local participation, including 39 cyclists from Eagle County. Participants include veteran riders like Mike Stepanek, who is returning to the race 32 years after the inaugural 1994 event, and Brian Uelze, who is competing for the first time after decades of interest in the endurance race.
