Leandro Hassum comedy ‘Voltei na Foto’ premieres on Telecine

The comedy film ‘Voltei na Foto’, produced by Estúdios Globo’s Núcleo de Filmes, is set to premiere on the Telecine streaming service this Sunday (23). Directed by Matheus Malafaia, the film stars Leandro Hassum as Leonardo, a man approaching 50 who is dissatisfied with his professional career, romantic life, and relationship with his father, Álvaro (played by Tony Ramos).

After a heated argument, Leonardo discovers an old childhood photograph that triggers an unexpected journey back to 1986. In the past, he encounters his 12-year-old self, played by Gabriel Gentil, and reunites with his mother, Vilma (Regiane Alves), and a younger version of his father (Augusto Madeira). Unable to return to the present, Leonardo assumes the identity of a distant relative to live with his family again, attempting to intervene in pivotal childhood moments to alter his future, only to face the unpredictable consequences of changing the past.

The production features a nostalgic recreation of 1986 Brazil, incorporating period-accurate costumes, sets, and soundtracks, including references to the World Cup and the rise of VHS. The film was created by Leandro Hassum, Maurício Rizzo, and Bíbi Da Pieve.
