Leandro Martínez signs with Spanish club Recreativo de Huelva

Leandro Martínez, a 32‑year‑old striker from Cantabria, has joined Segunda Federación side Recreativo de Huelva on a free transfer. The forward arrives after a season with Kitchee FC, the Hong Kong champions, where he scored 11 goals in 26 matches.

Martínez previously helped Sestao River achieve promotion to the Primera Federación in 2022/23, netting 14 goals. Standing 1.79 m tall, he adds experience to a Recreativo attack that already includes Roni and Matías Chavarría. The club, coached by Jesús Galván, announced the signing as part of a broader recruitment drive aimed at securing promotion in the 2026‑27 campaign.
