Leandro Paredes suffers hamstring injury during Boca Juniors match

Boca Juniors midfielder and captain Leandro Paredes suffered a left hamstring injury during a match against Vélez. The injury occurred in the 42nd minute of the second half, forcing his substitution.

Coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena stated that the situation is “not serious” and described it as a “scare,” noting that the player has played an intense number of matches recently. Despite the discomfort, which caused Paredes difficulty walking after receiving ice treatment, the club aims to preserve him for upcoming international fixtures.

Medical studies will be conducted to rule out more significant damage. While Paredes is expected to miss the upcoming domestic match against Central Córdoba in the Torneo Clausura, the primary focus remains his availability for the Copa Libertadores quarter-final series against Brazil's San Pablo, scheduled to begin next Tuesday at La Bombonera.
