Leapmotor B05 electric compact car set for Spanish launch with competitive pricing

Leapmotor is preparing to introduce its B05 electric compact car to the Spanish market. The model, sized like a SEAT León or VW Golf, is powered by a single 218 hp electric motor delivering 240 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 170 km/h.

The entry‑level version carries a 56.2 kWh battery offering an official range of 401 km, while a higher‑capacity version with a 67.1 kWh pack claims up to 482 km. Pricing starts at about €19,500, which includes financing options and incentives. Standard equipment across the Life Pro and Design Max trims features LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, lane‑assist, 360° camera, heated steering wheel, multiple safety systems, and a range of comfort and connectivity options such as a digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 12‑speaker sound system.

Production will take place in Zaragoza, targeting the broader European market, and the company expects strong sales due to the attractive price‑performance balance.
