Leapmotor B10 electric SUV debuts in Brazil with public‑charging trial

The Leapmotor B10, a mid‑size electric SUV from the Chinese brand now owned by Stellantis, was tested in Brazil without a home‑charging point. Priced at R$ 182,990, the vehicle slots between entry‑level gasoline SUVs such as the Jeep Compass. It is equipped with a 56 kWh battery that the Inmetro certifies for a 290‑kilometre range, though real‑world mileage varies with driving style and conditions.

During the review, the B10 was recharged at public fast‑charging stations; a 100‑kilometre top‑up cost about R$ 30, roughly half the fuel cost needed for the same distance in a conventional SUV. The test showed that drivers traveling 20–30 km per day could go a week before needing to recharge. The SUV includes a portable 220‑volt charger for occasional night use, a panoramic sunroof, a 360‑litre boot and a suite of driver‑assist features. Interior fit and acoustic insulation were noted as above‑average for the price segment.
