Leapmotor discusses bringing B05 electric hatchback to Australia

Leapmotor Australia is in discussions to introduce the B05 Ultra, a sporty version of its new small electric hatchback, to the Australian market. While a specific launch timing has not been announced, the model has already been confirmed for a New Zealand release in the second half of 2027.

Andy Hoang, head of Leapmotor Australia, indicated that the B05 is considered a “halo product” due to its distinct design. He noted that the Ultra version is expected to enhance the brand's appeal by targeting consumers seeking a unique electric vehicle experience. Currently, the B05 is the only non-SUV model offered by the Chinese brand in Australia.
