Leapmotor expands European EV lineup with B05 and B03 models
Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor is expanding its presence in the European market with new models. The Leapmotor B05, a compact electric vehicle, has undergone testing on Polish roads. It features a minimalist interior where most functions are controlled via a touchscreen and is positioned as an affordable option within the Stellantis dealer network.
Additionally, the Leapmotor B03 (known as the A05 in China) is set to target the European small car segment, competing with models like the Renault 5 E-Tech and the Volkswagen ID Polo. The B03 offers battery options of approximately 40 kWh and 53 kWh, with the larger battery providing an estimated range of 420 kilometers. While the vehicle is longer than the ID Polo, it aims to provide significant value, with entry-level pricing in China starting at approximately $10,000.
