Leapmotor expands European network to over 1,000 locations

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor has expanded its European presence to over 1,000 retail and service locations across 36 countries. This expansion is facilitated through Leapmotor International, a joint venture with Stellantis, which provides the brand access to Stellantis’ established distribution and after-sales networks.

In August, Leapmotor reported global sales of 103,129 units, marking its second consecutive month exceeding 100,000 deliveries. The European market accounted for 27 percent of these global sales, reaching its highest share to date. The company aims to address consumer concerns regarding the reliability and availability of service for Chinese brands by ensuring customers are, on average, within a 22-minute drive of a service point.

Technologically, Leapmotor is developing the MM-i hybrid architecture, expected to debut in 2027, which will allow for more flexible power management across various vehicle segments. The company continues to roll out new models, such as the B05 electric hatchback, into various European markets including Slovenia and Slovakia.
