Leapmotor expands global presence via Stellantis partnership
Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor is aggressively expanding its global footprint through a strategic partnership with Stellantis. In Europe, the brand is introducing the B03 compact model, which is expected to feature LFP batteries with ranges between 300 and 400 kilometers. The company is also seeing significant growth in Germany, where it recently surpassed a 1% market share with record monthly registrations.
In South America, Leapmotor is leveraging Stellantis's existing infrastructure to enter the Brazilian and Argentine markets. In Brazil, the company has launched a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) adapter developed by Mopar, allowing drivers to use their vehicle batteries as portable power sources for appliances and tools. Additionally, Leapmotor is introducing extended-range electric vehicle (REEV) technology in the region, including the B10 and C10 models, to provide greater range flexibility for consumers.
