Leapmotor expands into Argentina and Mexico with Stellantis support

Leapmotor is expanding its presence in Latin America, launching its ultra-hybrid vehicle lineup in both Argentina and Mexico with the support of Stellantis.

In Argentina, Grupo Lorenzo has introduced Leapmotor to the Mendoza region, opening an exclusive center in Chacras Park and establishing experience points in Mendoza Plaza Shopping and Sobremonte Mall. The brand utilizes Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) technology, which uses a gasoline generator to recharge batteries during travel, allowing models like the B10 and C10 to achieve autonomies between 900 and over 1,000 kilometers. This expansion leverages the Stellantis service network for after-sales support, including parts and technical assistance.

In Mexico, the brand has launched the B10 2027 SUV, priced at 575,000 pesos. This model features a 1.5-liter gasoline engine acting solely as a generator for an 18.8 kWh LFP battery, providing up to 98 km of electric range and a combined NEDC range of 990 km. The Mexican operations are backed by Stellantis and Mopar, utilizing a 45,000 square meter distribution center in Toluca to support national logistics and specialized maintenance.
