Leapmotor hits record 103,129 monthly deliveries in August 2026

Leapmotor has achieved a significant milestone in the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) sector, recording 103,129 global deliveries in August 2026. This marks the company’s second consecutive month exceeding 100,000 monthly units and its fifth consecutive month of record-breaking performance. For the first eight months of 2026, total deliveries reached 560,883 vehicles, representing a 70.55% year-on-year increase.

A key driver behind this growth and the company’s profitability is its strategy of vertical integration. Leapmotor has established an extensive self-developed and self-manufactured ecosystem, controlling approximately 65% of total vehicle costs through 18 specialized component factories. This includes a massive 500,000-square-meter “Super Five-Electric” factory cluster in Huzhou, Zhejiang, which integrates the production of batteries, electric drives, domain controllers, lights, and electronic power systems.

By manufacturing core components in-house, Leapmotor reduces logistics and packaging costs—saving approximately 50 RMB per electric drive system—and enhances quality control through unified hardware and software development. The company’s integrated approach allows for higher automation rates, such as 90% in its battery module and domain controller lines, and provides a competitive edge in both cost efficiency and technological innovation.
