Leapmotor launches B10 REEV electric SUV in Brazil
Leapmotor has launched the B10 REEV in Brazil, a Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) SUV priced at R$ 179,990. Unlike traditional hybrids, this model uses a 1.5-liter gasoline engine exclusively as a generator to charge the battery, while a rear electric motor provides all the propulsion to the wheels.
The vehicle features a 160 kW (approximately 218 hp) electric motor, delivering 24.4 kgfm of torque and enabling a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 7.8 seconds. It is equipped with an 18.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, offering an electric-only range of 68 km and a total combined range of up to 900 km.
Technical specifications include a top speed of 170 km/h and a charging time of 18 minutes for a 30% to 80% charge via DC (46 kW). The SUV comes with a 14.6-inch multimedia screen, seven airbags, Level 2 ADAS driver assistance, and a panoramic sunroof. Leapmotor provides an 8-year warranty for the battery and high-voltage components, and a 6-year warranty for the vehicle.
