Leapmotor launches B10 Ultra-Hybrid SUV in Brazil
Leapmotor has launched the B10 Ultra-Hybrid in Brazil, a mid-size SUV utilizing Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) technology. The vehicle features a rear electric motor producing 218 cv and 240 Nm of torque, powered by an 18.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery.
In the REEV system, a 1.5L gasoline engine acts exclusively as a generator to charge the battery or power the electric motor, rather than driving the wheels directly. This configuration allows for a combined range of up to 900 km under the WLTP cycle. The vehicle supports both AC and DC charging, with the ability to recover 30% to 80% of the charge in approximately 18 minutes.
The B10 is priced at a promotional launch rate of R$ 179,990. Interior features include a 14.6-inch multimedia screen, a 7.1-inch sound system with 840 W, and hypoallergenic upholstery. Safety and driver assistance include the Leap Pilot level 2 semi-autonomous package, featuring adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking.
