Leapmotor reports record deliveries and announces new hybrid model for Europe
Leapmotor has reported record-breaking delivery figures, surpassing 105,000 vehicles globally in September 2026. This marks a 59% increase compared to the same month in 2025 and represents the third consecutive month the company has exceeded 100,000 monthly deliveries. For the third quarter of 2026, the manufacturer delivered a total of 310,052 units, a significant rise from previous periods.
As part of its expansion strategy, Leapmotor plans to introduce a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) in the first half of 2027. Michael Wu, co-president of Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology, stated that the company intends to proceed with this rollout regardless of potential European Union regulatory shifts or volume limits on Chinese hybrid imports. The company aims to strengthen its presence in the European market, where its B10 model has already become a top-selling compact electric SUV from a Chinese brand.
