Leapmotor to test medium hatchback B05 in Brazil

Stellantis is exploring the potential return of the medium hatchback segment in Brazil through the Chinese brand Leapmotor. The company plans to present the Leapmotor B05 at the Festival Interlagos to gauge consumer interest and perception.

The B05 is Leapmotor’s first medium hatchback, designed for Asian and European markets. In China, the model is available in fully electric versions with rear-wheel drive, offering power outputs of 179 cv or 218 cv. Battery options include 56.2 kWh, providing 515 km of range, or 67.1 kWh, providing 605 km of range. An Ultra version with four-wheel drive and 245 cv is also available, though range decreases to 500 km or 600 km depending on the battery size. A range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) variant is also under study for international markets.
