Lebanese army readies southward deployment as Israeli forces withdraw
General Rudolphe Heikal, chief of the Lebanese army, told troops on the occasion of the force’s 81st anniversary that the institution is prepared to deploy across all southern areas that become vacant as Israeli forces withdraw.
