Lebanese Finance Minister Yassin Jabr attends Bosphorus Summit

Lebanese Finance Minister Yassin Jabr is participating in the 17th Bosphorus Summit in Istanbul, organized by the International Cooperation Platform under the theme “Global Transformation and the Search for Stability.”

Representing President Joseph Aoun, Jabr delivered a message outlining Lebanon’s vision for stability, which focuses on state sovereignty, restoring confidence through reforms, and turning reconstruction efforts into growth opportunities. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening Lebanese-Turkish cooperation.

Speaking in his capacity as Finance Minister during the “Global Financial System” session, Jabr addressed the necessity of converting international financial pledges into tangible, productive projects. He warned that delays in funding can deepen crises and increase the cost of recovery, particularly when economies are under pressure and government spending margins are limited. Jabr noted that the gap between pledged funds and actual utilization often slows recovery paths for many nations.
