Lebanese MP Fadlallah reaffirms Hezbollah rehousing plan
Lebanese Member of Parliament Hassan Fadlallah, representing the ‘Loyalty to the Resistance’ bloc, has reaffirmed Hezbollah’s commitment to a rehousing program designed to assist displaced persons. The initiative, launched by Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem, aims to mitigate the crisis facing those displaced by conflict.
Fadlallah stated that the plan fulfills previous commitments made by the late Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine. He emphasized that the program will proceed despite potential challenges or blockades. While Hezbollah is managing the rehousing efforts, Fadlallah noted that the Lebanese government remains responsible for victim compensation and reconstruction efforts.
Addressing international reactions, Fadlallah dismissed criticisms and statements from the United States administration and the State Department regarding the program’s credibility. He maintained that the group’s priority remains supporting the population and alleviating their suffering alongside the goal of preserving sovereignty in South Lebanon.
