Lebanese MP Hussein Haj Hassan defends Iran and criticizes US influence

During a Hezbollah event in Ouzai honoring the families of martyrs and wounded, Lebanese MP Hussein Haj Hassan criticized United States policy and defended Iran’s regional stance.

Haj Hassan stated that Iran has successfully imposed its own strategic equations and responded decisively to American aggression. He noted that while Donald Trump has suggested responding to Iranian actions through economic pressure, this demonstrates an acknowledgment of Iran’s long-standing resolve to confront Western influence.

The MP expressed pride in being allies with Iran, contrasting this with those allied with the United States. He characterized the U.S. as a supporter of Israel and a source of instability, arguing that relying on American diplomacy is a “meaningless and empty bet” because the U.S. fails to pressure Israel to adhere to international agreements.
