Lebanese Prime Minister's office denies claims regarding Mossad agents
The media office of Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam has issued a statement denying social media reports claiming the Prime Minister ordered the deportation of two Mossad agents. The office described these claims as entirely false and an attempt to damage the Prime Minister's reputation.
According to the statement, security forces had detained two individuals after they were suspected of using a phone number with the international code +972. Investigations revealed that the individuals are Palestinian nationals residing in Ramallah. Their use of the international code was explained by their residency in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Authorities confirmed that the two individuals entered Lebanon legally, had visited the country multiple times previously, and possessed valid travel documents for departure. The Prime Minister's office emphasized that Dr. Salam did not intervene in the matter, noting that security agencies and the judiciary handled the case with complete independence.
