Lebanese security forces arrest lawyer and suspect in separate crimes

Lebanese Internal Security Forces have arrested a lawyer in Beirut for forging judicial documents. The investigation began after the Mount Lebanon Public Prosecution discovered a fraudulent judicial notice addressed to a bank manager. The notice, which concerned the transfer of funds belonging to clients of the lawyer, R.M., contained forged signatures of the President of the New Court and the head of the clerk's office. The lawyer admitted to impersonating judges during phone calls and falsifying the document.

In a separate incident, security forces apprehended a Syrian national, A.H., following a burglary in the town of Bkarbsha, Bsharri district. The theft, involving gold and valuables worth over $80,000, was investigated by the North Investigation Unit. After tracking the stolen items to a residence in Mohmara, authorities conducted a surveillance operation that led to the suspect's arrest in a sting operation in Minieh after he was lured from Beirut.
