Lebanon Agriculture Minister promotes 24 staff to leadership roles

Lebanese Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Nizar Hani, has congratulated 24 staff members following Decree No. 3871, which promotes them from the third category to the second category within the General Directorate of Agriculture. These individuals have been appointed to central and regional leadership positions.

Hani stated that these promotions are a fundamental institutional step toward reactivating the ministry’s administrative and technical hierarchy, addressing vacancies, and enhancing the capacity to implement agricultural policies and serve farmers across Lebanon. He emphasized that the process aims to restore administrative regularity and ensure efficiency and meritocracy.

The Minister noted that this achievement resulted from cooperation between various entities, including the Presidency, the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance, and the Civil Service Board. He indicated that this is part of a broader plan to address vacancies and will eventually extend to department heads and supervisors within both the General Directorate of Agriculture and the General Directorate of Cooperatives.
