Lebanon and UK launch Pegasus Cedar 2026 joint military exercise

The Lebanese Army and the British military have launched Pegasus Cedar 2026, a joint military exercise scheduled to last for three weeks. The maneuvers aim to enhance the capabilities of military units and improve coordination between the Lebanese Army and allied forces.

Participants include personnel from the United States and Italy, while military representatives from France, Cyprus, Qatar, and Jordan are attending as observers. British soldiers, deployed from a base in Cyprus, are joining their Lebanese counterparts to participate in tactical training.

The training program covers a variety of specialized skills, including reconnaissance, raids, urban combat, helicopter operations, and mortar firing. This exercise builds upon previous joint training initiatives, such as the first Pegasus Cedar maneuver conducted in September 2023.
