LebensPhasenHaus in Tübingen expands with modular FlyingSpaces

SchwörerHaus is expanding the LebensPhasenHaus in Tübingen by adding two ‘FlyingSpaces.’ This 97-square-meter modular extension will provide new office, meeting, and event spaces for the State Competence Center for Care & Digitalization.

The expansion serves a dual purpose: providing necessary infrastructure for the center’s growing operations and acting as a research subject itself. The project will investigate sustainable construction methods, including the use of circular materials and the CO2 footprint of individual components.

The LebensPhasenHaus focuses on research and practical solutions for independent living across different life stages. It tests barrier-free concepts, technical assistance systems, smart-home applications, and digital communication. The State Competence Center specifically aims to advance digitalization in long-term care, exploring how digital solutions and AI can alleviate the burden on caregivers and support independence for those in need.
