Lebon Patisserie & Bistro to relaunch in Istanbul

The historic Lebon Patisserie is returning to Istanbul under the new name Lebon Patisserie & Bistro. The brand, which has roots dating back to 1810, is scheduled to reopen on October 29, coinciding with Republic Day.

Founded by Eduard Lebon, the establishment was historically significant as one of the first to bring French pastry traditions to the city. Beyond its culinary offerings, the patisserie served as a major cultural and intellectual hub in the Pera district, frequented by notable literary figures such as Ahmet Haşim, Tevfik Fikret, Abdülhak Hamit, and Yahya Kemal.
