LeBron James takes sip of fan's wine during 76ers game

During a Philadelphia 76ers victory over the Chicago Bulls on November 2, 2026, LeBron James became the subject of a viral moment after taking a sip of a spectator's wine. The incident occurred in the third quarter at Xfinity Mobile Arena when James collided with season-ticket holder Troy Clemons while chasing a loose ball.

James explained after the game that the interaction was a response to spilling some of the fan's drink during the collision. He stated, “I wanted to see if it was worth it on my arm and how good it was. It was all right.” Clemons reported that James apologized before taking a sip and returning to the court. The fan noted he was not bothered by the incident and viewed the interaction as a lighthearted moment.

While the interaction drew laughter from teammates and fans, it also drew criticism from media personality Dave Portnoy, who questioned the judgment and the example set for younger viewers. The 76ers won the game 126-107, improving their record to 7-1.
