LeBron James' Free Agency Decision Unrushed, Agent Rich Paul Says

LeBron James entered NBA free agency three weeks ago after notifying the Los Angeles Lakers that he will not return for a ninth season. He has not announced a new team, and speculation centres on the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors and a few other clubs.

Agent Rich Paul, speaking on his “Game Over” podcast and on the Pat McAfee Show, repeatedly emphasized that there is “no rush” and that the choice is a business decision for James. Paul said the teams have already made their pitches and “all the messages have been sent.” He also noted a conversation with NBA commissioner Adam Silver, who wants a decision soon so the league can finalize the schedule, but Paul insisted the timeline will be set by James alone.

Fans have been urged to be patient, as Paul stressed the process will not be driven by media pressure or a desire for spectacle.
